Chemoprevention Studies Yield Resveratrol
Chemoprevention research has now yielded resveratrol, commonly found in grapes
and other foods. Resveratrol was first extracted from Cassia
quinquangulata Rich., a legume from Peru. Resveratrol inhibits
cyclooxygenase' role in tumor promotion and free radical formation relevant to
tumor initiation under certain conditions. To learn more about
resveratrol:

resveratrol, a natural product found in grapes. Science 275: 218-220.
